SoftServe has announced the winners of AgentForge, a large-scale hackathon dedicated to building next-generation AI agents. After the intensive online stage, the offline final took place at the company’s Lviv office. In addition to project pitches, the program also featured a panel discussion on the future and challenges of Agentic AI with industry experts. The jury selected the winners, who shared a total prize pool of $10 000.
The hackathon brought together developers, ML engineers, data scientists, and researchers to work with autonomous agents — AI capable of planning actions, analyzing data, and executing complex workflows with minimal human intervention. The event was organized by SoftServe's Gen AI Lab and Data Science departments.
"AgentForge became a powerful proving ground for autonomous systems that go beyond responding to prompts — they actually act. We saw many innovative ideas and strong teams that were willing to tackle complex technical challenges. In just a few days, participants successfully built and presented functional prototypes to the jury and the tech community," said Nazarii Drushchak, AI Technical Consultant at SoftServe.
The CognitiveOps++ team took first place and received $5 000 for their project ADW (Agentic Data Workflow) — a production-ready AI platform that transforms business queries into certified analytics without the need for large BI teams. The project’s goal is to slash time-to-insight from weeks to just minutes. ADW merges AI, data engineering, and analytics into a single managed platform designed for tangible business impact. The solution helps companies extract data insights faster while enabling data teams to transition from operational support to strategic leadership. The jury praised the project for its architectural maturity and its clear demonstration of how autonomous agents can automate complex data workflows in real-world business scenarios.
“It was an incredibly intense experience: we worked through weekends, had late-night calls, and were constantly refining and testing our solution. It wasn’t easy, but the team stayed united, and everyone was fully committed. The joy of the final result completely outweighed the exhaustion; we felt that every bit of effort was worth it. For us, this win confirms that agentic AI solutions already deliver real value to businesses today,” says Viktoriia Stukalina, member of the CognitiveOps++ team.
Second place and $3 000 went to the No More Tokens team for their project AI Product Manager Colleague. The team developed an agent that bridges the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. It analyzes unstructured documents (PDFs, specifications, presentations) alongside existing codebases to provide evidence-based insights. Rather than just generating text, the tool assesses technical feasibility and identifies specific code integration points.
"This was our team’s first hackathon. Honestly, we were curious about how it works and expected it to be fun — and it truly was. From day one, we focused on shaping the final product and divided responsibilities across research, demo preparation, IDE plugin development, and architecture. We wanted to build an agent that would make our own lives as developers easier, so our Cursor/VS Code extension is designed to be genuinely useful for the broader dev community," said Nika Pona, No More Tokens team lead.
The Shalena Bdzhilka team took third place and won $2 000 for their Machine Learning & Data Analytics Agent. The team created a tool for structuring ML experiments. The system uses multiple specialized agents working together to explain results, maintain process clarity, and help users solve machine learning tasks.
In total, 35 teams and 6 solo participants competed, developing AI agents over several days while adhering to strict requirements regarding technical architecture and real-world applicability.
