Information about recent events surrounding the Lviv IT Cluster has appeared in the public space, in particular regarding the removal of the Executive Director and the management of the organization’s assets. Some companies that are members of the Vinnytsia IT Association are also participants of the Lviv Cluster, so we consider it important to publicly communicate our position.

A cluster (association) is an organization established by stakeholders to develop an ecosystem and implement a shared vision.

In clusters, the interests of stakeholders are represented by elected Supervisory Boards or Management Boards.

Under the legislation of Ukraine, property, brands, and other assets created by teams and contractors using membership and partnership fees, donor funding, and income generated under the organization’s brand belong to the organization itself, not to its officials, related parties, or contractors — regardless of their individual contribution to the development of the organization.

The transfer of such assets to these individuals is directly prohibited by the legislation governing the activities of non-profit organizations.

The Supervisory Board of the Lviv IT Cluster consists of representatives of IT companies that enjoy a high level of trust within the community and are responsible for protecting the interests of the organization and its members.

We support the stakeholders of the Cluster whose interests are represented by the current 13 members of the Supervisory Board of the Lviv IT Cluster.

The Lviv IT Cluster remains a key player in Ukraine’s technology ecosystem, and we will continue cooperation with it in its institutional format, which is currently represented by the Supervisory Board.

We hope for a constructive resolution of the situation.
