Three days, eight teams, dozens of ideas, and one goal: to make Vinnytsia more convenient and attractive to tourists. The IT Association of Vinnytsia, together with Radar Tech, held a city student hackathon, Hack4Impact, which brought together 50 young participants from six educational institutions of the region.
š Challenge topics are not a theory, but a request from the city:
- Interactive parking maps with AI
- Event aggregators for Vinnytsia residents and guests
- Smart feeders for animals
- tourism for young people in a format they are interested in
šØāš» As a result, we have 5 software and 3 hardware solutions. The participants' decisions were evaluated by a competent jury consisting of representatives of education, business, city authorities and the IT industry:
Svitlana Vasyliuk - Director of Vinnytsia Technical Vocational College
Daria Nyshporska - Head of IT Association of Vinnytsia
Dmytro Panteleychuk - CTO of TIRAS Technologies
Viktor Mazuryk - Head of the Tourism Development Division of the City Marketing and Tourism Department of Vinnytsia City Council
Ivan Vekirchyk - co-founder of KNESS group of companies
Mariana Tataryn - Finance and Technology Advisor | Canada & USA at the IT Association of Vinnytsia, expert on digital transformation and financial strategies (online)
The first pitches already have the potential for implementation and commercial offers.
š¤ This project was made possible thanks to the cooperation with:
Department of City Marketing and Tourism,
Vinnytsia Technical Vocational College,
UME.Place, TIRAS Technologies,
UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group, KNESS,
NAVIGATOR, Impression Electronics,
Winstars. AIĀ R&D Center, and Printo printing house.
š It was the first hackathon for many teams. But definitely not the last. We believe that such events form a new community that creates technologies for the city.
