How innovation and AI can change healthcare

We invite you to the Health Pre-Acceleration Demo Day on July 4, during which top development teams will present their HealthTech solutions for integrating innovation and AI in cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, oncology, and mental health.

The Health Pre-Acceleration Demo Day will be the culmination point of the Health Pre-Acceleration Program, organized in partnership with the World Health Organization representative office in Ukraine, the Civitta consulting and research company, and the RADAR TECH innovation company.

The program's main goal was to provide talented Ukrainian developers with an opportunity to improve their healthcare solutions and prepare them for implementation.

Dr. Jarno Habicht, WHO Representative in Ukraine said:

"The modern world of innovation is developing very rapidly. Technology and AI are penetrating all life areas, so it's important to be aware, especially with health care. WHO supports innovations globally, aiming to ensure their contributing to health services improvement and management, including in Ukraine via the best innovative ideas".

From 27 teams, 9 were selected for the April Health Hackathon. They had the opportunity to improve their innovative projects. For 6 weeks, they attended free expert-led workshops, worked with mentors, and improved their pitches.

The Volodymyr Kravchuk team developed the "DocDirect" platform, which will help eliminate the barrier in communication and knowledge exchange between psychologists and psychotherapists. In addition, it should play a key role in improving the qualifications and expertise of medical experts in Ukraine and, in the future, around the world.

Volodymyr Kravchuk, CEO of “DocDirect”, shared his experience:

"Considering that our team consists mainly of technical specialists, we lacked expertise in business, marketing, sales, etc. During the Health Pre-Acceleration Program, we were able to get the basics of this knowledge, to close the gaps in these areas. For example, we started to develop a desktop web version of our product because it is more convenient for our target audience to use it".

At the same time, “SaySoft” CEO Viktoriia-Anna Burmenska and her team have developed a program that converts speech into text during therapy sessions. The developers focused on psychologists currently overworked in Ukraine, and such innovations will be helpful for them.

Victoria-Anna Burmenska, CEO of “SaySoft”, said:

"Approximately 15 million Ukrainians need help in the field of mental health, so we see an opportunity to help our specialists. Thanks to automatic records from the session, they will be able to free up time for rest or new clients".

Project presentations, a panel discussion with industry experts and an award ceremony are expected during the Health Pre-Acceleration Demo Day.

Yurii-Volodymyr Blavt, partner of the consulting and research company "CIVITTA" in Ukraine, said:

"We actively support young teams on their way to development. Health Pre-Acceleration Program and similar projects often become a springboard for young professionals from project idea to implementation. During workshops, participants receive a concentrated portion of knowledge in a short period of time and access to leading experts in the field, who act as mentors, free of charge".

Join the Health Pre-Acceleration Demo Day to immerse yourself in the future of HealthTech.
