This year, our city became part of MIT Practicum 2026 — an international project where students and city teams work together on solutions for economic development and the recovery of Ukrainian cities.

The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Vinnytsia IT Association joined the initiative as part of the Vinnytsia delegation. Together with the MIT team, participants took part in a series of discussions and working sessions within the course “Innovating in Ukraine” organized by the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning.

Before the in-person visit to Cambridge, several online meetings were held between MIT representatives and the Vinnytsia IT Association. The discussions focused on innovation ecosystems, infrastructure, economic opportunities for the city, and approaches that could support Vinnytsia’s long-term development.

During the visit, the delegation also explored Greentown Labs — one of the largest climate-tech and hardware startup hubs in the United States. It was an opportunity to see how universities, businesses, entrepreneurs, and cities collaborate to build innovation-driven environments.

For us, collaborations like this are about practical knowledge exchange, new partnerships, and stronger opportunities for the growth of the local IT and innovation community.
